Navigation

Do not use the 'Back' or 'Forward' buttons on your browser to navigate. Use the Navigation Menu on the left of your page to move about Open Enrollment. Click on Instructions to begin updating your enrollments. To exit, select another application from the tabs above or click "Main Menu" to leave this application. When you are finished, click "Log Off" at the top of the page to end your session.

Adding a new family member:

You should enter all new eligible family members before enrolling into your benefits plans. Click on 'Family Members' in the Navigation Menu on the left and enter the family member information. You must provide a Social Security Number (SSN) for newly enrolled family members. More information about this requirement is available here. As each family member is added, select the appropriate plan(s) to enroll in and click "Add".

Enroll/De-enroll family members:

To enroll or de-enroll a family member from a plan, check or uncheck the enrollment box. You can do this from either the plan pages or the Family Member page. A check mark indicates the family member is enrolled, and a blank box indicates the family member is not enrolled.

To delete a family member, uncheck all plans for the family member. Although the family member will still appear, they will be deleted as of January 1.

Enroll or change plans:

Click the plan from the Navigation Menu on the left you want to enroll in. The enrollment pages will display all your eligible family members and plan options for each benefit. You can recalculate your coverage cost by clicking the Recalc Coverage button.

Enrolling in a medical plan with a PCP:

You will automatically go to the Primary Care Physician (PCP) page for all non-Medicare plans requiring a PCP. Enter the PCP number for each family member. You may search for your physician's number by name, city or zip code. If you need further assistance in finding a physician, please contact the plan. For Medicare plans requiring a PCP, enter your PCP choice on the Medicare Enrollment form mailed with your confirmation statement.

Graduated Eligibility

If you became a member of UCRP on or after January 1, 1990, or if you were rehired after that date following a break in service of more than 120 days, as a retiree you receive a percentage of UC's maximum contribution toward your medical and dental plan premiums. The percentage UC contributes corresponds to your years of UC service credit. See the Graduated Eligibility Chart for more information.

Medicare

Medicare is the federal health insurance program administered by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). UC requires all retirees and their enrolled family members to enroll in both Medicare Parts A and B as soon as they become eligible, usually when they turn 65.

If you or a family member is in Medicare and your other family members are not, those in Medicare are enrolled in the Medicare version of the medical plan while the others remain in the non-Medicare version of the plan. For more information, see the UC Medicare Factsheet .

When you've made all your changes:

Click on 'Review & Confirm' to see all the changes you've made. If you want to make additional changes, select the plan from the Navigation Menu before you confirm. If you haven't made any changes, it is not necessary to confirm; click 'Main Menu' to exit this application or 'Log Off' to end your session.

Confirmation Statements:

If you have a personal email on file, your confirmation will be emailed. If you do not have an email on file, it will be mailed to your home address of record. If applicable, a Medicare Enrollment or Medicare Disenrollment form will be sent with your confirmation statement. Please mail this form to the medical plan by th.

Even if you have confirmed your changes, you can make additional changes through 5:00pm Tuesday, .

Suspend

If you are eligible for UC-sponsored medical or dental coverage and are enrolled in a non-UC group medical plan, you may suspend your UC coverage and re-enroll during any future UC Open Enrollment period by form or within 31 days should you experience an involuntary loss of the other group coverage. Your coverage must be continuous and proof of loss will be required. Contact Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) at 1-800-888-8267 for eligibility and re-enrollment forms.

Timeout

To maintain security and confidentiality, Open Enrollment has a timeout of 20 minutes. If there is no activity for 20 minutes, your session will expire without saving any Open Enrollment changes. If your session does expire, you must sign in again.
