AYSO Privacy Statement and Terms of Use

OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY

The University of California's Human Resources (HR) and Information Technology Services (ITS) departments are committed to protecting the privacy and accuracy of your personally identifiable information to the extent possible, subject to provisions of state and federal law. Other than as required by laws that guarantee public access to certain types of information, or in response to subpoenas or other legal instruments that authorize disclosure, personally identifiable information is not disclosed without your consent.

When you use the At Your Service Online (AYSO) site, you agree to these terms and conditions. Do not use this site if you do not agree to these terms. Your use of this site will be subject to the most recent AYSO Privacy Statement and Terms of Use. Since these may be updated from time to time, we urge you to visit this site regularly to review the current statement.

The University of California is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information and takes many precautions for the security of personal information. The University is continually monitoring its systems and practices to enhance the security of sensitive information.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

While using the AYSO site, we will only collect your personal information (such as your address, email, phone number) if you provide it voluntarily. The personal email address may also be shared with UCPath. We will retain your personal information as necessary for the purpose for which it is collected or as indicated in this Privacy Statement and Terms of Use.

Web servers typically collect, at least temporarily, the following information: Internet Protocol (IP) address of computer being used; web pages requested; referring web page; browser user-id; date and time.

Phishing is the act of attempting to acquire personal information such as user names, passwords or SSN's by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an email. AYSO does not request or solicit personal information via email. If you believe you have responded to a phishing attempt, contact the UC Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) immediately.

PASSWORD

You are responsible for activities that occur in connection with your Password. Accordingly, you should take steps to protect the confidentiality of your Password. Notify the UC Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) immediately if you become aware of any disclosure, theft or unauthorized use of your Password.

Certain campus locations allow their employees to create a link (also known as the UCTrust Identity) from their campus administrative login account to the AYSO account. If you elect to allow access to your personal information without entering your AYSO Password each time, understand that you are still responsible for activities that occur in your AYSO account.

USE OF COLLECTED INFORMATION AND PRIVACY NOTIFICATION

In order to keep you informed of such activities as benefits open enrollment, benefits symposia and/or special events, we may use personal information collected from AYSO site for purposes of future communication. Such email notification will be conducted in conformance with University of California and campus policies implementing anti-spam laws (Federal Anti-Spam Law).

UC may use browser-IP-address information to report information about site access. This information is used to improve the user experience on our site, but may also be used for troubleshooting purposes.

AYSO may use 'cookies' in order to deliver web content specific to individual users. Personal identifying information is not stored within cookies.

We collect personal information for the purposes of completing your online transactions. UC policy and state and federal statutes authorize the maintenance of this information.

State: The State of California Information Practices Act of 1977 (effective July 1, 1978) requires the University to provide the following information to individuals who are asked to supply information.

Federal: Pursuant to the Federal Privacy Act of 1974, you are hereby notified that disclosure of your Social Security number is mandatory. Disclosure of the Social Security number is required pursuant to Sections 6011 and 6051 of Subtitle F of the Internal Revenue Code and pursuant to Regulation 4, Section 404.1256, Code of Federal Regulations, under Section 218, Title II of the Social Security Act, as amended. The Social Security number is used to verify your identity. The principal uses of the number shall be to report (1) Federal and State income taxes withheld, (2) Social Security contributions, (3) State unemployment and workers' compensation earnings, and (4) earnings and contributions to participating retirement systems.

UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Questions regarding your options to review, modify or delete previously provided personal information should be directed to the UC Retirement Administration Service Center.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

You may encounter links to other websites of organizations not directly affiliated with the University of California. Please be aware that UC is not responsible for the information practices of external organizations. We recommend you review the privacy statements of each external website that collects personal information.

COMPUTING RESOURCES

UC HR and ITS have a responsibility to protect UC's computing resources. The AYSO site is for legal and authorized use only. Unauthorized access, or attempted access, may be a violation of federal and/or state law and may be subject to prosecution. If we believe an attempt is being made to break into or otherwise abuse our computing resources, we will use the information in our computer logs, and other means available, to determine who is responsible. As part of these legal efforts, we may share any information we gather with law enforcement agencies or other authorized entities.

CACHING AND PUBLIC COMPUTERS

Internet browsing programs such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, save (or "cache") information to make subsequent web browsing faster. Clearing your browser cache after you complete your secure visit ensures that any individual using a browser session after you on the same machine (particularly on public machines) will not see your private information. Never leave your computer or mobile device unattended during an AYSO session. Protect your information by signing off from AYSO when you are finished with each session. To ensure cached copies of your AYSO Web pages are cleared, always close your browser after signing off.

UC TRUST IDENTITY

At Your Service Online supports UC Trust Single Sign-on Authentication and is registered as a Resource Provider with the InCommon Federation. Pursuant to the requirements for InCommon Federation membership, the AYSO Participant Operational Practices is available at incommonpop.pdf.

MEANS OF ACCESS

The AYSO site is intended to be viewed and accessed by more current versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari web browsers. Periodically we review browser versions to ensure they meet our security and functionality requirements, and we reserve the right to block certain browser versions from entry to the site. Although you may be able to use other browsers or older browser versions to access the site, you do so at your own risk.
